United Way of Odessa Funded Programs are designed to meet the most pressing needs in our community. By working closely with local partners, we ensure that every initiative is both effective and sustainable.

 

Community Partner/Member Agency Requirements

To qualify as a United Way Community Partner, agencies must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a current, valid 501(c)(3) designation.

  • Have a written statement of mission and general goals focused on human services within the United Way geographic service area.

  • Maintain a localized Board of Directors.

  • Operate under a constitution or bylaws that define the agency’s objectives, organizational duties, and governing responsibilities.

  • Provide human services that address genuine community needs.

  • Submit an annual IRS Form 990.

  • Undergo an annual independent audit.

  • Be in operation for a minimum of two years at the time of application.
